Sunken Fire Pit

The sunken fire pit area is the star of the show in this backyard. Travertine capped steps and a

seat wall provide seating options and the gas fire pit makes it easy to enjoy. A well-planned

drainage system helps the sunken patio remain puddle free during the heaviest rain events,

being completely drained within 30 minutes. The travertine continues into the new pea gravel

exposed aggregate patio under the existing deck and ties the entire lower walkout space

together. A new landscape bed ties the existing landscape into the new hardscape and helps to

provide additional privacy for the backyard.
